Founded in 1949 by brothers Colin and Desmond Rawson, Hornsea Potteries is a great British design story that involves some of the giants of British pattern and ceramic design. Inspired by a wide variety of design influences the brand soon became recognised for its idiosyncratic designs and ground breaking techniques. Sadly operations closed in 2000 but thankfully Magpie have begun re-manufacturing some of most iconic designs, starting with the illustration works of John Clappison, meaning the legacy of Hornsea can continue for future generations. Made in stoneware and hand glazed and moulded so each mug is unique, the Heirloom Mug hand applies designs taken from Clappison's original illustrations, creating a perfect piece of retro art pottery. Gift boxed and an ideal present, this is the perfect mug for any fan of retro 60s and 70s design.

Delivery Estimates
From when your items ship, products typically arrive within 1-2 working days for South Island deliveries and 2-3 working days for North Island deliveries. Rural deliveries may take an extra working day. Bulk & hazard deliveries may take an extra 2-4 working days.
Delivery Partners
Klein and Blue uses many courier partners in NZ for delivering orders to customers. They include NZ Post, Courier Post, Mainfreight, or Aramex. The courier partner used for your order is dependent on location, delivery timeframe, and parcel size. We will will email you a tracking link once one of our courier partners has collected your item(s) from us.
Bulky Delivery
Some items are extra large and require a custom shipping rate, if you are unable to checkout at the cart your item will need to have a custom shipping price created. Please contact us for this option. All items large or small can be collected from our retail store at 385 Moray place, Dunedin.
Shipping Security & Insurance
All orders shipped are sent via a courier with a signature required for each delivery. In some cases, and only where you have given the courier company permission to leave orders at a designated location, your order may be delivered without requiring a signature.
Overseas Shipments
At this time Klein and Blue does not offer international shipping. We ship within New Zealand only.
Shipping Costs
Shipping costs vary based on your location and the items being shipped.
We offer free shipping on non-bulky (and non-delicate) items in New Zealand when the total value of your cart is $200. Anything under $200 will cost $10.
